Reconstruction of Shin-Urayasu(新浦安) after Mar 11, 2011 Tohoku Earthquake

Repair of the main road named Symbol Road in Shin-Urayasu was done late March in 2014. This is a part of reconstruction of this city which was devastated by Mar 11th 2011 Tohoku Earthquake. According to the municipal government site, the expenditure for this project reach to 55 billion yen. Just after the disaster, earthquake specialists said a huge earthquake would hit Kanto Region again within 4 years. 3 years already has gone by. Will a huge earthquake hit within a year? Is it worth reconstruction? Will this city be never devastated? Nobody knows. After the earthquake, I looked for another place to live. After all, I didn’t move. Densely built houses area might turn into a sea of fire. It’s better to be drawn than to be burnt.

As a record, I post pictures of this city.
I wish i have a photos before the earthquake.
